5280 Dines

I love food festivals and when I saw posts for the 5280 Dines event on Instagram, I knew we had to go. Celebrating 5280 Magazine's 25 Best Restaurants list, proceeds from ticket sales helped benefit the Mile High United Way Women United Initiative which just sealed the deal for me. I love when you can attend a fun event and do a little good at the same time. 



Fast forward to Sunday night, Joe and I are at Backyard on Blake with my brother and sister, our nephew and a small group of friends, ready to 5280 dine. As this event was a chance to enjoy curated small plates from winning restaurants, I was surprised that the food wasn't abundant but the cocktails definitely were. Lots of drinks paired with one of the best sunsets I've ever seen made for a great start to the night. 



Based on the food that was there - Coperta's black seabass crudo, tacos from Tamayo and Wagyu beef tataki by Concourse  - I highly recommend this event next year. And there was more than just food, The Parlour turned into a complimentary braid bar, a DJ was playing tunes and our nephew discovered his very first red carpet.
